Being creative to keep my sanity

ARTS&CRAFTS time!!

Today I had an arts and crafts day with my friend Kimberly! We each gathered all of our art supplies and scraps of anything we thought we could possible use for a project. With nothing really in mind, we wanted enough supplies so our minds could go wild on the creative side.

Everybody has a creative potential and from the moment you can express this creative potential, you can start changing the world.

Here are some of our supplies:

Kim had a tons of plastic beads, so, we made sun-catchers!
ALL YOU NEED:
plastic beads
pan
oven
and a creative mind :)
Pick out the beads you want.

Color beads look beautiful in the sun and white beads will show items you may want to place in the the beads!

Fabric works well in the white beads
Let melt for about 20 min in oven at about 350

Drill some holes and walla, sun catchers :)

Hair wraps are always fun and easy!

START BY:
Grabbing a small section of hair ( sections at the bottom are easy to hide if need be).

Pick three colors of string.
Make it 4 times as long as your length hair.
Fold the string in half (should have 6 strands, two of each color).
Place the middle of your string at the top of your section of hair and tie in knot.

Start wrapping hair by grabbing one string, keeping all other strings to the opposite side of the strand of hair. Begin wrapping with the string that is set aside. Wrap tightly in a clockwise motion around the wrap. When you have wrapped several times with one color, you can switch to the other color. Simply hold down the strands of the color you were using, and begin wrapping with the other color. This is where you can get creative. You can switch colors frequently, making small bands of each color, or you can make the bands of color larger, or use varying patterns. It's all up to you.
